The Word of the Cross

Thank you for considering purchasing The Word of the Cross! My goal is to make Scripture memorization easy and enjoyable, first for my own family, my church and myself, and hopefully for others as well. I've been a believer for over 30 years and have benefited immensely from memorizing Scripture, and I hope to continue doing so for the rest of my life.

The Word of the Cross features 20 more Scripture memory songs in a variety of styles of music. My personal favorites are the two written and recorded by my oldest son, Stephen. They are in an acoustic jazz/rock style.

I am really grateful for the gifted vocalists and musicians who helped me on the album--I think they did a wonderful job. Chris McCrea did vocals, keyboards and live drums on a number of the songs. Each year, Chris makes a couple trips to Pennsylvania from his home in Virginia to spend whole weekends working on Hide the Word projects-- he is really talented and brings a lot of creative ideas to each album. Rochelle Calvetti, Stacy Pomroy, Greg and Rochelle King, Phil Kim, Chris Wright and Ian Murphy contributed outstanding vocals. And once again, Roger Hooper really spiced things up with an amazing piano solo and string arrangements.

As requested by a number of people, The Word of the Cross includes some passages that are a little longer. All the Scriptures used in The Word of the Cross are from the ESV (English Standard Version), which is a very accurate and wonderful translation of the Bible.

Thank you for visiting the website! Memorize God's Word! Apply it to your life! Keep your mind stayed on the Lord and set on things above!
